Aside from offering piano lessons, PINW now offers lessons for many common school instruments. If you are a beginner trumpet player, we can get you on the right track to learn the right way. If you already play, our staff can help you improve your playing and musicianship, prepare for exams such as NYSSMA, and provide the skills needed for college auditions.

About The Instructor
Larry received his Bachelor of Music and Arts from the University of Michigan. He studied trumpet with the renowned Boston Symphony principal trumpet, Armando Ghitalla. He also holds a Master Degree in Environmental science. Throughout his career Larry played on the local NYC music scene with a variety of small Jazz ensembles and big bands. He toured with the National Broadway production of Starlight Express and recorded music for TV jingles. A versatile musician, Larry is comfortable performing in a variety of musical genres. He has performed with the legendary founder of SKA music Carlos Malcom, Cumbia star Carolina La O and Salsa great Richie Ray. Locally, Larry is a member of the Revolutionary Brass Quintet and Nordic Sound Jazz Orchestra. Larry’s many years of playing and teaching experience provides a unique perspective on all styles of music. Larry offers lessons for beginning to advanced trumpet as well as Jazz improvisation and jazz theory for all instruments.
